Lenovo owned Motorola has launched the new Motorola One Macro in the budget segment and the company is ready to take on the already established giants like Xiaomi and Realme. As the name suggests its main highlight is its macro lens.

Design and Display

On the front the device has a 6.2" IPS LCD HD+ (1520 x 720) display and a dew drop notch. The notch houses a 8MP selfie shooter. The display here is a tall 19.5:9 max vision display which is a good one.

On the back it has a gradient finish which is really cool. It has a physical fingeprint scanner mounted on the back. The fingerprint scanner also spots the brand logo, which I really like.
The power button and the volume rockers are mounted on the right side of he device. It has the USB-C port which is really good, which means faster data tranfer speed. It also has the 3.5 mm headphone jack which placed on the top. The SIM card slot is a hybrid one, which means you can use two SIM cards or a SIM with micro SD card. There is single speaker on the bottom.

Hardware

The phone comes in a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage (expandable upto 512 GB), and there is no other variant available as of now. The motorola one macro is powered by the 2.0 GHz Mediatek Helio P70 chipset which is a really capable processor. The Helio P70 performs very well as compared to the other chipsets (SD 660 and 665) which are available in the other smartphones available in the budget segment.Day to day usage is very smooth and  games like PUBG mobile and Call Of  Duty also runs fairly smooth on medium graphics. The Geekbench scores are given below:

The device houses a 4000mAh battery which is common to the smartphones these days. It comes with a type C port which is a great thing, as there are devices out in the market with the USB port.

Cameras

Let's now talk about the cameras on the device. We get a quad sensor setup on the rear which consists of  13 MP f/2.0 main camera (no 48MP) , a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor and a Time of Flight sensor for fast laser focus. The main highlight of the device is it's macro lens which allows you to come as close as 2cm to the object, which is really good and should perform quite better as compared to the other devices ( like the Realme 5). The cameras should perform quite well.

Software

On the software front the device comes with Android Pie 9 on-board with stock android, which means no ads and bloatware. Stock android is something I personally like and prefer. Well the company has promised Android 10 update very soon. The device also comes with the Moto gestures which are good. You also get the Face Unlock which most of the people out prefer.

So the new Motorola One Macro will be available for INR 9,999 from October 12. You can check out the device from this link
Well that's are my views on the device, what do you think , tell me in the comment section below
